  Membership of the working group:

 The group comprises Senior/Environmental Health Officers/Managers from seven London Borough Councils and one EHO working in the private sector. We have met on a monthly basis since December 2004.

Aims of the group:

 The working group was set up in response to the publishing of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System Guidance (Version 2), with the aims of: 

  • discussing and interpreting the guidance
  • generating detailed worked examples
  • obtaining a consistent approach using standardised forms
  • producing practical working documents for use in the field
  • highlighting any issues/problems arising from the guidance and obtaining responses from the ODPM
